Everest Vacation Bible School, Summer Celebration 2015, was a great success! The enthusiasm of kids, teens, and adults was off the charts. We learned that God has the power to help us through absolutely everything in our lives. Dan & Brooke Arnold were our fearless leaders and they did a stellar job. Some 40+ kids, 14 younger teens, 5 older teens, and 10 adults participated in this celebration – one of the finest things St. Luke’s Church does. As one of the parents said “this is always magical – the kids dream about it and can’t wait for it to begin.” Each year we choose a service project for the week. Since this year’s theme was “Everest,” the kids brought in coins (totaling $270 when added up!) to help the Nepal earthquake victims . They also decorated prayer flags with their God sightings – where they saw God in their daily lives – and as you can see above, these flags were a colorful reminder in our worship space that we can see God acting in our lives each day.
Until next year! – The VBS Summer Celebration Crew
